More than 12 years have passed since that terrible day, when a huge tsunami hit the coasts of Indonesia and Thailand due to an earthquake. According to various estimates, from 225 to 300 thousand people died then, and a huge number of people were injured or left without a roof over their heads. Echoes of that event are still heard today.
We will talk about one of these cases today. During the tsunami, a little girl named Raudhatul Janna was washed away by a wave. At one point, she found herself away from her parents, who, besides her, also lost their son. For more than a month, the whole family tried to find their beloved children: they wrote ads, and searched the ruins, but all in vain.
Both were swept away by the wave forever. At least that’s what they thought then. Almost 10 years have passed since the disaster when Uncle Raudhatul saw a girl on one of the streets who very much resembled his niece. He couldn’t believe it was her.
It turned out that the little girl was taken in by an elderly woman named Miriam. All this time, Raudhatul lived in a settlement that was 80 km from her home. As a result, the baby finally ended up with her family.
Now the girl is 14 years old, and her parents still cannot believe that she is next to them. During the reunion, no one could hold back the tears.
