76-year-old woman walks miles every day to take her disabled grandchild to school

It is love that drives a person to heroic deeds. And it’s not just in Hollywood movies. This is the test.

Shi Yuying, 76, from Guangxi Province, China, takes her grandchild to school every day. The distance to go and to return is about twenty-four km.

The boy cannot move on his own. He suffers from cerebral palsy and needs constant care. Shi said he was diagnosed when he was two years old. The parents tried to heal him, but apart from huge debts, there were no results.

Now his father works in another city and his mother married another man when the little one was 4 years old. Therefore, his grandmother is still with him, who first transported him by bicycle, until in July 2017 the local authorities donated a wheelchair to the family.

Every day she takes him twice a day to school and picks him up.

Faith in her little one is her strength. She is convinced that despite everything, the boy will be able to succeed, he is intelligent. He is particularly strong in mathematics and his memory surprises more than one.

However, every year it becomes more and more difficult for the grandmother to overcome this path to school and back. However, she is not ready to give up: “As long as I have the strength, I will push him forward! »

Shi sincerely believes and hopes that he can find a good school for the handicapped to send the little one to. In the meantime, she does not lose hope and continues to fight alone for her future.
