90-year-old grandfather gently serenades the love of his life on his 70th wedding anniversary

An elderly man has shown the world that true love never fades with age and only grows stronger with time with a romantic performance for his 70-year-old wife. The sweet moment was filmed and shared online, racking up thousands of views.

The story of Imogene and Paul Miller is not only adorable but also exciting. Despite the ups and downs, they stuck together and drew strength from their beautiful relationship. The couple met as teenagers and started dating, but Imogene had reservations about how their relationship would evolve.

Sarah Saragusa, their granddaughter, said her grandmother, who was a few months older than her grandfather, told her she would not marry him until she was 20. Keeping Imogen’s wishes in mind, they got married on Paul’s 20th birthday. But the question was: why did she impose such a condition?

It turned out that Imogene had wanted Paul to grow into a mature person before accepting him as her husband. After they met at Western Union, Saragusa revealed that her grandfather did everything in his power to sue her grandmother. She said they made a great couple, with Paul’s outgoing nature mingling with Imogen’s sweetness.

It wasn’t the first time the man from Hot Springs, Arkansas sang for the love of his life.
Finally, on June 15, 1947, the lovers got married and swore to stay together for the rest of their lives. When Paul was asked how much his wife meant to him, he replied, “She’s the only one I’ve ever had. It started when I was 18 and it has always gone so well. »

The Millers, who had two biological children, would have welcomed many adopted children into their hearts and homes after aging out of the system. This is how they expanded their beautiful family of adopted children and grandchildren over the years.

One of them was Robin Vermeer Bobo, who explained that Imogene and Paul opened their doors to her and her family when she was only two years old and her mother was pregnant with another baby. She said they had been great role models for many people over the years, adding:

“I considered them my grandparents all my life. They truly exemplified what love and marriage should be for everyone who knew them. »

On June 15, 2017, Imogene and Paul celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary with their extended family of over 60 in attendance. As the couple renewed their vows, the 90-year-old grandfather surprised his beautiful wife with a heartwarming rendition of the song “Let Me Call You Sweetheart.” He sang:

“Let me hear you whisper that you love me too. »

Holding his beloved’s hand and looking at her the whole time, Paul said he rehearsed the song ahead of time so it would ring true in the moment and have the desired effect on his beautiful wife. Luckily, her hard work paid off when Imogene leaned in to give her a sweet kiss of approval afterwards.

Their love is definitely real love.
