A hungry kid who was considered evil spent his first day at school: How he has changed

Danish volunteer Anja Ringgren Loven takes care of abandoned Nigerian children. In 2016, she found an emaciated baby on the street and took him to a shelter.

The modern world is cruel. However, even in such a cycle of numerous wars, political conflicts, and everyday troubles, there are bright and sympathetic people. Anya Ringgren 2016 struck the whole world with her incredible kindness: she saved a little baby.

At the age of two, he wandered the streets and was very emaciated. It is impossible to imagine how such a boy could even exist for 8 months alone, without proper care, loving parents, and healthy food. On January 31, 2016, while walking through the streets of a village in Nigeria, Anya noticed a baby who was asking passers-by for food.

From the horror of what she saw, she immediately gave the boy water and food, which she had with her. It seemed that the boy grabbed the food as if he had seen it for the first time. The pictures that Anya posted on the Internet immediately caused great feelings among the inhabitants of the whole world.

From all points of the Earth, people began to transfer money to the account of Anya’s charitable foundation “Your help is their survival”. Raised about one million dollars. The funds went to the maintenance of Hope and all the children, who, like him, were kicked out of the house by their parents to certain death.

The reason why Hope was put out the door was voiced by the doctors. He was found to have hypospadias (a defect in the penis), which is solved by standard surgery. However, the parents were probably told by the community that due to such an unusual defect, the baby is a sorcerer and dangerous to the family.

In the shelter, the baby was completely cured, washed, and fed. Here he found true friends and loving Anya and David, whom he considers his real parents. Three years later, in a well-fed, cheerful boy, one does not recognize that destitute kid with thin legs. Today he lives with 35 children in Eket, Nigeria.

Not long ago, Hope had his first haircut. The boy grows incredibly inquisitive, cheerful, kind, and sincere: “As you can see, the baby is happy. All thanks to the caring inhabitants of the world and our sensitive teachers of the orphanage. Where there is love, there is hope!” Anya writes on her Facebook page.
