A woman sent a photo of their shared daughter to her ex-boyfriend. He replied three days later, and what she read and saw made her burst into laughter.

One evening, Tanya logged into a social network and unexpectedly saw Viktor’s last name – Myronyuk – among common acquaintances. She thought, “Why not send him a photo of our daughter? Let him know there’s such a beauty growing somewhere.”
She visited his profile, surprisingly found no photos and minimal information, just that he currently lives in Kharkiv, finished school, and his classmates. Conveniently, they weren’t far away. Quickly, she edited his location to a different city, far from Kharkiv, just in case he decides to visit. She sent him a photo of Svitlana with a caption: “This is your daughter, but you see her for the first and last time – only in the photo.” She sent it and forgot about it.

A few days later, she checked her page and saw he replied. What she read and saw made her burst into laughter. Firstly, the profile picture was of a completely unfamiliar man, aged thirty-five. A very pleasant man, by the way. Secondly, he asked how they managed to create such a perfect being, even if he didn’t know them.

She immediately wrote a thousand apologies, explaining that he shares the same last name with her ex-lover, and their first and middle names matched too. However, she hadn’t noticed that her ex-partner, Myronyuk, had turned twenty-seven. She corrected her place of residence back to the original because friends had questioned when she had moved so far, and she hadn’t informed them. She had to write the truth.

Tanya got curious about how Myronyuk ended up on her friend list, and it turned out her former classmate mistakenly signed up for him, thinking it was Myronyuk Junior but was wrong. Yet, she forgot to unfriend him. The next day, she received another message from Myronyuk Senior, as she nicknamed him. He also asked when she had moved to the village because, until recently, she lived elsewhere. She had to explain it to him too.

Their correspondence started, lasting for a month. He inquired about her life, her daughter, which pleased her. He complimented the beautiful girl, calling her a copy of her mother. Eventually, Viktor proposed they meet. If she agreed, he suggested a weekend visit with her daughter. Tanya considered the wonders that happen in life and agreed but with the condition that they stay at a hotel.

They met. Before the trip, Tanya showed the girl a photo and said they were going to visit Uncle Vitya, assuring her he’s a good person. Svitlana, however, ran up to him, hugged his knees, and said, “Daddy, my daddy!” Tanya was surprised; she never taught her daughter that. The girl blushed, apologized, but Viktor reassured them and hugged Svitlana.

Viktor admitted that he got divorced two years ago; his wife moved to Kyiv with a new partner, and they had no common children. He worked in a company, specifics not disclosed, but it didn’t matter to Tanya. Their correspondence always lifted her spirits; Myronyuk Senior had a sense of humor and intelligence.

They spent the weekend joyfully – visiting the park, riding attractions, eating ice cream, and going to the zoo. They had a great time and, by the end of the second day, realized they liked each other. Viktor made a proposal: “Tanya, let’s not waste time. You’ve understood I didn’t invite you for nothing. I fell in love with you, and getting to know you better, I’m sure I made the right choice. Marry me. Moreover, we have such a wonderful daughter.” It was a small but heartfelt wedding within the circle of family and close friends.
