A woman with her daughter went for a cake and got it for free. A stranger helped, but there is little joy from such a present

Holly Grimet from Rosharon, Texas, USA, went to Kroger on February 22 to pick up cake and cupcakes made to order for her daughter Eva’s birthday. However, when the woman wanted to pay, the saleswoman told her that the purchase had already been paid for by a stranger who had left a note for her. But store employees asked Holly not to read the message of the mysterious benefactor right now, so as not to burst into tears in front of the child and in front of strangers, because all the supermarket employees who saw the note could not hold back their tears.

A similar request was written on top of a folded sheet – do not read in the store. Holly did not do this and continued to prepare for her daughter’s birthday, unfolding the sheet only at home. And as soon as she did, she really burst into tears. The woman took a picture of the message and posted it on her Facebook page.

This has never happened to me. I went to Kroger to pick up the cake and cupcakes but they told me they were already paid for and the lady who did it left a note. It was written on it not to read in the store, so as not to cry, and the store employees said that the note touched them all. I’m always trying to be a good person and do the right thing despite daily challenges, and this note cuts me straight to the heart. I sob. I’m grateful for my little ones and my Eva just turned eight years old.

In the note, the stranger told her sad story and advised Holly to tell her daughter more often how much she loves her.

My son Nehemiah would have been eight years old today. I try to honor his memory by giving kindness to others. I hope you enjoy the cake for your little one and hope that this day will be extraordinary for you. Hold your baby especially tight today, watch her play, be patient, kiss her sweet little hand and tell her how much you love her. Our children are insanely beautiful gifts! Hope you have a wonderful day. With love from me and my angel in heaven to your family.

Now Holly is trying to find a stranger to personally thank her for her help and sympathize with her loss. Especially hard for Grimet was an amazing coincidence – the cake that the unknown woman bought for her on her son’s eighth birthday was intended for Eve’s eighth birthday.

Thank you for this reminder of the gift of life and how great it is to celebrate. My daughter cried with happiness at the party. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for opening your heart and giving this gift.

According to Holly, the woman who paid for the sweets for her daughter was a game changer in this unfair life.

She changed this sad day forever for herself, turning it around,” said Grimet.

Grimet promised herself to continue the chain of good deeds launched by the unknown and asks people to be more attentive to each other because we never know what the strangers around us are going through and what they dream about.
