Granddaughter gave grandmother a bear, and she could not contain her joy. After all, the toy was with a memorable secret

The husband of Marie Boorman, a 60-year-old woman from the British county of Kent, whose name was John, died in 2015, writes Metro. He died in his sleep of a heart attack. The couple had been together for five and a half years, and what Marie loved most about her husband was his charming hearty laugh.

It took the woman some time to come to terms with the loss, and a 21-year-old granddaughter named Sammy Jo helped her fight loneliness. The girl wanted to perpetuate what her grandmother loved most in her husband and gave her an unexpected gift.

Sammy Jo bought Grandma a teddy bear that contained a recording of John’s laughter that went off whenever you pressed the toy’s paw. Having opened the box and not suspecting anything, the woman was still happy with the cute gift.

A teddy bear that you can hug! I had no one to hug. Hugging a soft toy, the woman realized that she heard John’s laughter, which comes from the present. Marie cried and said that the bear was just wonderful.

The girl really hopes that now her grandmother will be easier to cope with loneliness.

We talk on the phone in the evenings, she comes to my mother and me five times a week. But in the evenings, she prefers to be on her own, and she needs personal space. But Grandma also says that she gets lonely in the evenings.

The girl continued and told how she got the idea to make a toy in memory of John. She loved his laugh so much that I knew Grandma would always be ready to hear him.
