Tracy always dreamed of a huge family. It cannot be said that until recently her dreams did not correspond to reality – after all, she already has three adult children, and as many as eight grandchildren! But, as they say, there is no limit to perfection. And Tracy, along with her current husband Stephen, decided to have another child. Unfortunately, attempts to conceive a baby in a natural way were unsuccessful, but the woman was not going to give up.
It should be noted that Tracy gave birth to all the older children in her first marriage, which broke up in 2003. With her current husband Stephen, they started a family two years later, and in 2006 the woman became pregnant. But she terminated the pregnancy, believing that at that moment giving birth to a child was not the right time. The consequences of this decision did not go unnoticed, and Tracy was no longer able to conceive naturally.
So, earlier this year, Tracy successfully went through an in vitro fertilization (IVF) procedure that cost the couple about $9,000. As a result of this procedure, all three embryos took root in the expectant mother, and one of them, moreover, separated, forming twins.
When the couple found out that they were expected to replenish the family by as many as four little men, they were not afraid, but, on the contrary, were immensely happy. As is often the case, most friends and loved ones considered the idea of the spouses to become parents again crazy and ill-considered. But Tracy cared little what others thought of her:
Yes, I’m already a grandmother, so what? I’m not the first, I’m not the last. I’m fifty years old, but I don’t look or feel my age. Let others say what they like, they don’t know my story. When they see our wonderful babies, they will change their minds, – said the expectant mother.
And so it happened: at the 31st week of pregnancy, Tracy gave birth to three girls and one boy. The pregnancy proceeded with complications, and 35 specialists were present at the birth.
Since the children were born prematurely, now they are under the supervision of doctors and are gaining weight. The family will be able to take them home early next year. Here is such a story.
