In October nineteen eighty-five, a child named Jono Lancaster was born in England. However, Jono is entirely different from all other children. He suffers from Treacher Collins syndrome, an inherited condition that disrupts the facial muscle growth, resulting in alterations in certain areas of the face.
Jono has a face resembling that of the “bird man,” with his eyes, nose, mouth, and face all deformed in a peculiar way. Furthermore, this thirty-year-old travels the world to give self-improvement lectures because for much of his youth, he despised looking at himself in the mirror. However, thanks to the unconditional love of his adoptive parents, Jono has accepted his appearance, strives to lead a normal life, works with autistic children, has a girlfriend, and has also undergone several cosmetic surgeries.
