On November 30, 2013, at the age of 40, Paul Walker tragically passed away in a car accident while struggling to control the vehicle. The sudden death of the actor was a tragedy for all fans of the “Fast & Furious” franchise.
However, the heaviest burden fell on Paul’s only daughter, Meadow. At the time of her father’s death, she was just 15 years old.
Paul had a youthful relationship with Meadow’s mother, Rebecca Soteros, but his dedication to his acting career (and on-screen partnerships) strained their relationship. Nevertheless, Rebecca became pregnant. She considered having an abortion, but Paul was excited about the opportunity to become a father and convinced her to keep the child. Meadow Rain Walker was born on November 4, 1998.
According to the memories of family and friends, Paul was an excellent father, and he and Meadow were very close. Meadow lived with her mother in Hawaii until she was 13 years old, and in 2011, she moved to live with her father.
After her parent’s death, Meadow withdrew into herself, practically stopped using social media, deleted all photos from her Instagram account, leaving only pictures of her father.
But time heals: gradually, Walker began to recover, focused on her modeling career, and today, the 22-year-old beauty can boast of significant achievements.
The daughter of the “Fast & Furious” star has become the face of Proenza Schouler, a brand of women’s clothing and accessories founded in 2002 by designers Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez. She appeared in the advertising campaign for the new Pre-Fall 2021 collection, as she announced on her Instagram. “Thank you to Jack and Lazaro for entrusting me to share this beautiful collection with the world. Thanks to my family and DNA Models, the modeling agency, for guiding me at every step of my journey,” Meadow wrote.
It’s worth noting that over the past couple of years, Walker has undergone a noticeable transformation: she cut her hair into a bob, dyed it a darker color, and lost a significant amount of weight.
Many of her followers even suspect Meadow of suffering from anorexia and urge her to eat better.
She still deeply misses her father: her Instagram account contains numerous posts dedicated to her father (and interestingly, none to her mother). Meadow also pays great attention to philanthropy: she helps children in poor countries under the auspices of her father’s foundation, the Paul Walker Foundation, and calls on others to be compassionate as well.
