A couple from the USA dreamed of a big family, but, it seems, they were not ready for such a gift from nature. The wife became a mother 14 times and is not surprised at all by the number of babies. Nature failed, turning the children’s faces into photocopies of each other.
Karen Derrico and her husband Deon from Las Vegas did not think that they would become parents of many children when their daughter Darrian, now 16, was born. Five years later, the son Derrek was born, and the parents were already thinking of stopping, but nevertheless, after a couple of years, they dared to have a third child. It was at this point that something went wrong.
Karen found out that she was pregnant again, but the main surprise was ahead because she was expecting a pair of twins. Now the boys are ten years old, and they look like copies of each other. Their parents named them Dallas and Denver after American cities.
Furthermore! Two years later, Karen found out again that she was pregnant, and then the family was in for a real jackpot: an ultrasound showed quintuplets, three of which were girls and two were boys.
Surprised parents decided to continue the family tradition and named all the children with the letter “D” – Deniko, Dariz, Deoni, Daisan and Daiten. The three girls look like identical twins, as do the two boys.
Although Karen and Deon already had nine children, they again risked becoming parents, and again the pregnancy was multiple. Dies, Dior and Carter were born, to whom the family decided to give them a special name. But, unfortunately, Carter died a couple of hours after giving birth.
As parents of 11 children, in 2019 Karen and Deon once again welcomed the addition of triplets Dawsin, De’Aren and Diver. Now their offspring has 14 children with names starting with the letter “D” and six faces in all.
The reason Karen has had so many multiple pregnancies is because of Karen’s overactive ovaries, which cause multiple eggs to be released per cycle.
Having four multiple pregnancies in a row is like being struck by lightning while being struck by another lightning, said Deon, the father of the children.
According to the man, it is really difficult. And it’s not just that you need to feed as many as 14 mouths. As the mother of the children says, they spend from 2.5 thousand dollars to 3.5 thousand dollars for one month only on food.
Many parents know that raising one child is work. But when you have 14 of them – this is a real job! Deon said.
However, Karen, who became a housewife, added that even if they have both good and bad days, there is always enough love in them. She makes sure everyone is out of bed by 8 am and ready for homeschooling. Her two older children help her with this.
It is our life. We ourselves decided to start a large family and did everything possible to provide for it, says Karen.
