My mother-in-law pulled me into the room and handed me gifts, but what I saw nearly made me faint.

It’s strange, but I really love my mother-in-law. I’ve been married for 18 years, and we get along wonderfully. There’s a significant age difference between us. When my first child was born, my mother-in-law was overjoyed. My son is her favorite grandchild, being the firstborn. She takes great pride in him and loves him dearly. However, she didn’t approve of my second pregnancy initially. But when my daughter was born, she fell in love with her, and by the way, my daughter looked remarkably like her. When I had my third daughter, her joy knew no bounds.

My mother-in-law has always been incredibly supportive in everything. I don’t have a mother; she passed away a long time ago, and my mother-in-law has filled that void in my life. She never interfered in our relationship with my husband. Whenever we argued, she always acted to help us reconcile quickly. I could call her anytime, and she would come to assist. In a word, she’s been golden, more like a mother than a mother-in-law. I prepared for her birthday in a special way. I saved up all the money I could, and I bought her an oven with stovetops. She spends most of her time at her summer cottage, and she didn’t have an oven there.

I thought it would be the best gift for her cottage. We went to her place and presented her with the gift. She was so happy, radiating joy. Then, she called me into her room. I didn’t know why she called me. But when I saw that she had a gift for me too, I was speechless. She gave me a mink fur coat and diamond earrings.
Seeing these precious items, I was left speechless. The earrings were incredibly beautiful, and the fur coat was simply luxurious. I consider myself incredibly lucky with my mother-in-law! I’m grateful for my destiny.

Not all mother-in-laws are like this. Mine is the best; she’s very kind, the best mother-in-law in the world. I hope to be as good a mother-in-law one day, although I may not be as wise.
