Falling in love is wonderful, a unique experience that changes us forever, and it can happen at any age. The enthusiasm, passion, and desire to truly know each other remain, but the beginning of a new relationship is approached with more caution and prudence, especially when conscious of past scars.

In this shocking story, a Venezuelan woman fell in love and placed all her hopes on a man she had met on Facebook. Despite the geographical distance – she lived in Venezuela, and he lived in Ecuador – they developed a beautiful romantic relationship. Undeterred by the distance, the young Venezuelan woman decided to change her life for the sake of the deep love she felt. She packed her bags, took her little daughter, and set out on a journey, flying over 1500 km to finally meet her beloved and start a new life with him in Ecuador.

However, upon reaching her destination, the woman faced a very unpleasant surprise. The man was there, exactly as he appeared online – no deception, no trickery. In fact, he had been generous enough to pay for her and her daughter’s plane tickets. Nevertheless, something went wrong. The man, upon meeting the woman face to face, openly expressed dissatisfaction with her appearance! He vehemently claimed that she had deceived him, that she wasn’t truly as she appeared in the Facebook photos.

Deeply upset by their encounter, the man “abandoned” the woman and her daughter near the terminal, ending their relationship. The woman was left with immense disappointment in her heart and another dramatic problem: she had taken the plane with the firm intention of settling in the new country and did not have enough money for return tickets.

The woman did her best, starting to sell homemade treats on the street near the airport, hoping to gather enough money to return to Venezuela. Fortunately, a driver working nearby decided to “interview” the woman by filming a video that he later posted on social media. The video of the woman’s painful story went viral, and she managed to get the help she needed to return home.
So, can love be dangerous, or perhaps some ways of nurturing it are? What are your thoughts on long-distance relationships, especially those that may develop online?
