José was a single father who did everything possible to raise his triplets. He never gave up despite his problems because his daughters were his reasons for living. But his world shook one day when someone came to his door with a revelation.
For many single parents, the daily challenges they face are nothing compared to the joy they get in raising their children.
Seeing them grow up without focusing on the void left by the other parent is what brings a ray of sunshine to the lives of these single parents.

However, by raising three girls alone, the fights can sometimes go from bad to worse. That’s something that the loving father José dealt with. Since Ariana, the love of his life (or so he thought) left him, he was devastated.
They say that time heals everything, so it happened with this single father. He forgot everything and lived a quiet life with his three little angels until one day someone from his past returned with a news to interrupt the joy of his fatherhood.
José and Ariana met eight years ago at an exhibition in the capital. Since he had grown up in an orphanage, he decided to marry a woman with the same roots. Ariana had also been raised in an orphanage.

The two became friends and soon began their love story. Their relationship began to present problems two years later, when Ariana told José that she was pregnant and was in her fifth month of pregnancy.
“But we had planned to have babies after marriage. How could this have happened? We have taken all the precautions,” José said, worried.
“It’s okay, honey. The mishaps happen. We have to get married soon. It’s the only way,” Ariana insisted.
Soon, the couple got married in a small ceremony and began a beautiful married life. But as time went by, José began to notice a strange change in his beloved’s behavior.

Either I was too busy at work or I spent many hours on the phone.
Everything seemed strange all of a sudden, but he, as the confident man he was, let things happen. In addition, she was looking forward to welcoming her baby.
But, during an ultrasound, the man made a discovery that changed his life.
“What? Triplets? I can’t give birth to three babies! That would ruin my beauty!” she shouted after listening to the doctor reveal the scan reports.
“But, my love, they are our babies. You can’t speak so badly of them. What is the connection between having babies and your beauty? I don’t understand,” José said, hurt and shocked by his wife’s reaction.
“What’s the connection? I’ll start to look old and no one will be interested in looking at me!”
“Look at you? Wait… What do you mean by that? Do you want someone else to appreciate your beauty besides me, your husband?” José asked. At this point, Ariana said the unthinkable and unleashed another anguish for the poor man.
“I married you to live a life with comforts. I thought we would not only be architects who build the dreams of others, but also a couple with money who could build their own too.”

“But your earnings are not even enough to go on a cruise!” she said furiously. “And with these three extra loads that come into the world, I doubt you can give me all the luxuries I want!”
Ariana’s honest opinion hurt José. He thought she loved him. But no. She was just looking for his money and had been dreaming big, using it to finance her luxurious lifestyle.
Before the man could say anything else, Ariana told him that she would divorce him after giving birth to her babies. He was in shock, and she kept saying hurtful words.
“I don’t care what you do with these babies, but I’m not going to raise them. It’s been a long time since I applied for a job in Mexico, and I’ll go there after getting rid of this burden.”
Then he filed for a divorce, and that put José under incredible stress. The hearing was scheduled for after the babies were born.
Finally, the couple welcomed three beautiful girls five months later. Unfortunately, the triplets lost their mother even before they could feel her skin and breathe her love.
The girls’ mom didn’t even touch them. Ariana refused to even look at them. A week after giving birth, she proceeded with the divorce.
José signed full custody of the babies. The mother abandoned her daughters and the father of the little ones. The day of the hearing was the last time the man saw his ex-wife.

Although he was still hurt, the father decided to give his best for his daughters. She worked from home to be with her babies all day. I didn’t want to hire a babysitter because I was afraid that they wouldn’t take good care of the girls.
From feeding them to changing their diapers, he did everything related to the care of the little ones and the home, in addition to giving them all his love.
For six years, José raised his triplets, Julia, Ruby and Emily, with a lot of love and care. He was her father and mother.
The girls never missed their mom growing up because their father never made them think about her. He did everything possible to make them happy and enjoy their childhood.
But one day, his heart stopped when he opened the door to see who had just rung the bell.
“YOU? What are you doing here?” he said in shock, looking at his ex-wife, who was standing with a disastrous look at his door.
José looked around and sighed with relief, because his daughters were playing at the neighbor’s house. “What do you want and why have you come here?” he said furiously.
“Won’t you let me in? I’m sure we can talk inside,” she said, making her way to the house. José was startled and could not do anything to stop her.

“Where are my daughters?” Ariana asked, looking around for the triplets. “Girls! Mom is at home! Don’t you want to see mommy?”
“What the hell is wrong with you? You’re not his mother… Now get out of my house!” José shouted. “I’m his only father. Do you understand? Now, go away!” José shouted.
“Oh, really? Who said that YOU are her dad?” said Ariana, revealing an unthinkable truth.
“I had two other boyfriends while I was going out with you. And I had a lot of “intimacy” with one of them. These girls must be his… I’m sure they’re not yours because you were away for a month on a business trip.”

“What do you mean?” José said, shocked.
“You used all the precautions you knew to avoid pregnancy when you returned. I did the math and it took me six long years to figure it out. I’m sure these girls are not yours, but I thought they were when I left you six years ago.”
José collapsed on the sofa in despair, holding his head in shock. “My babies? Were you cheating on me with two other men?” he got angry again. “What evidence do you have that they are not my daughters?”
After a brief altercation, Ariana and José agreed to give the girls a paternity test. Two weeks later, the results of the DNA test arrived. These indicated that José was not the biological father of the triplets.

The revelation startled him. For six long years, he had done everything possible to raise his daughters. Besides, I loved them unconditionally.
They were the only reason for his joy. Before she could deal with the overwhelming truth, Ariana returned the next day to take the girls away.
“I’ve come to take them. I need my daughters to come and live with me. I will sue that rich scoundrel for alimony, and I can only do it if I have my daughters with me,” she said.
José was startled. He realized that he could not change his love for his daughters just because he was not his biological father. That’s when he decided to do something to defend his fatherhood.
“The court will decide that, evil woman. How can you be so cruel and selfish? Are you going to use my innocent daughters to satisfy your desires? I’m not going to allow that to happen. If you want to get to them, you must go through me first!”
Ariana was surprised by José’s reaction. She had always known him as a soft-voiced man. But what she saw of him that day was different and terrifying.
However, that did not prevent him from climbing the ladder to claim his daughters. She saw them as objects, not as living and laughing angels who deserved love and a family.
“I will confront you in court. I will sue you and those three girls will be mine,” she said, challenging her ex-husband.
Two weeks later, they both arrived at the district court. Ariana had nothing to support her apart from the DNA test reports.

Meanwhile, José had the documents she had signed six years ago in which she handed over the legal custody of the girls to the father. He had also ceded his rights over them to Joseph.
Ultimately, Ariana’s case had no chance. The judge examined the documentation. This clearly indicated that the mother had not wanted to have anything to do with the girls after her divorce.
The woman lost the legal battle. When José and the three girls were leaving the courtroom, Ariana stared at them.
“Dad, who is she? Why is he talking to you?” one of the girls asked after seeing the woman.
“She’s a stranger. We don’t talk to strangers! Come on, let’s go home. Dad has two weeks off, and are we going on that cruise that we had planned?!”, José said as he passed by Ariana, who looked lost, embarrassed.
What can we learn from this story?
Children are not material possessions; do not use them to fulfill your desires, even if you are their father: After giving birth to the triplets, Ariana abandoned them and went on her way after divorcing José. Six years later, he returned, claiming custody of the girls to sue his biological father for alimony.

Any difficulty can be overcome with determination and confidence: When José found out that his triplets were not biologically his, he was not discouraged. He fought Ariana in court by providing evidence that she had not loved them when they were born and had abandoned them. He won the case and remained the best father to his daughters.
