The 8-year-old girl did a stylish haircut but the reaction of school was shocking:The school had its own rules

Marian Scott lives in Jackson, Michigan and is a third grade student at Paragon Charter School.
The eight-year-old girl is fond of singing and makes videos for YouTube, said her mother Latoya Howard.

According to the woman, her daughter had long wanted to weave bright-colored braids into her hair, and her mother finally gave in shortly before the photo shoot for the school picture, scheduled for October 3.

Latoya took care of the child’s hair herself, and as a result, several red pigtails tucked into a bump appeared on Scott’s head. The girl was very pleased with the new image, she constantly looked in the mirror and thanked her mother.

But the joy of the third grader was replaced by tears when the representatives of the institution, who noticed her new image, did not allow the girl to pose for a picture and “represent their school”. Marian stood off in the hallway while the other students were taking pictures and felt isolated from them.

The parents of the child, who learned about the incident, were also upset – according to the father of the elementary school student Doug Scott, the girl’s crying broke his heart. Moreover, the family did not expect such a reaction from the school at all.

The administration of “Paragon” has the right to insist on the correctness of its decision. The charter of the institution states that children participating in a photo shoot for a general picture should have hair in natural tones, and hairstyles should be classic. In addition, a few days before the event, the school allegedly sent letters to parents warning about compliance with the rules of appearance.

Doug Scott assures that he did not receive such a message. And the man also has questions about how the school leaders behaved in the current situation and about the logic of their solution.
