The couple has the slowest walk down the aisle: The cause and the third participant

The couple first met while researching wild turtles. That’s why they decided that their pet turtle, Tom Shelleck, would become the ring bearer at their wedding. For Tom to walk down the aisle to the altar, the bride and groom scattered strawberries, which their pet loves.

“Tom mainly eats hay and other dry foods because he is adapted to life in the desert. But he’s also a big fan of strawberries, so we decided this berry would be the best way to get him walking down the aisle. Ericka Johnson explained.

Despite Tom walking very slowly he did a great job and safely transported the rings on a basket which you can see in this picture.

“The only thing that worried us as Tom walked down the aisle was that some girls had painted their nails. We thought he would look at them and think they were fruit and maybe decide to bite them. But, fortunately, that did not happen. I think he did a great job and we were very happy with how it turned out,” Erica said.

All the guests were delighted with the slow but gentle bearer of the rings. And the day after the wedding, they asked the bride to show images of the turtle, which won their hearts, as soon as possible.
