Ontario resident Joan McDonald is 73 years old. The woman told that she struggled with being overweight almost all her life.

For decades I have been overweight. In her youth, the woman did not marry very well and, in order to cope with stress, she began to seize problems.

As a result, the weight of the woman increased until it reached about 90 kilograms. For short Joan, this was clearly too much.

The old woman began to have serious health problems. In addition, she underwent knee replacement surgery, after which she could hardly climb stairs by herself.

I took medication for high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and acid reflux. I could barely go up and down stairs and was unable to play sports because my knee hurt me.

All this could not but worry the 48-year-old daughter of Joan – Michelle. In 2017, she realized that something had to be done and decided to help her mother.

She asked me to join her annual training system. Well, to be honest, she just said that I should train with her.

The problem was that Michelle was doing programs from the Internet. And her 73-year-old mother did not even know how to use a smartphone. Joan bought herself an iPhone, and her suffering began.

Sometimes I was in tears and wanted to quit, but, fortunately, I am damn stubborn. My daughter and son-in-law taught me over and over to use the phone. It was like a joke: how many people does it take for me to master the iPhone.

But all this paid off: slowly but surely, Joan learned to use the Internet and applications and began to train. The exercise program changed every four weeks: the old lady did cardio every day and went to the gym four days a week. And if at first the pensioner did exercises for beginners, now she squeezes out about as much as she weighed herself at the beginning of her journey.

 

In addition, thanks to smartphone applications, the woman began to eat right. Previously, she constantly snacked on sweets and nuts, ate dessert after every meal. But Michelle created a nutrition plan for her mother, focusing on proteins and healthy fats. Joan did not have to starve: now what she ate went to the muscles.

The leaner I got, the more I needed to eat. Soon the results became visible to the naked eye.

Michelle created an Instagram account for her mother. There, the pensioner publishes news about her fitness transformation and receives dozens of compliments: including from young people who are impressed by her physique.

Joan has over 80,000 followers as she not only shares her weight loss results, but also shows workouts and recipes, inspiring people to follow suit.

Now Joan weighs just over 60 kilograms and is no longer taking any medication as her health has improved.

In addition, the woman began to truly love herself and gladly accepts compliments from others.
