One day, the shelter receives two kittens who turn out to be females. The kittens were not in good health, both suffering from respiratory and eye infections.

At the shelter, the sisters were named Pumpkin and Spicey. Pumpkin had an unusual color and was very courageous, while Spicey was more fragile and timid, always clinging to Pumpkin for comfort and warmth.
The kittens needed owners who were more comfortable and willing to take care of them and provide treatment. After a few days, a young girl who volunteers to rescue homeless animals discovers the kittens and decides to adopt them.

Spicey’s eyes were worse than Pumpkin’s, and volunteer Toya was more concerned about Spicey, particularly for her eyes, hoping they wouldn’t stop seeing. Pumpkin’s eyes healed within two days with Toya’s treatment and care, but Spicey’s eye started to heal the very next day, which was already very encouraging.

“Every day, I look at the photo of the sisters supporting each other and not stepping away from each other. Pumpkin feels so much like a mother because Spicey is always clinging to her, seeing her sister as confident and strong.”

After a week, the kittens became fully active. They started moving around the apartment, excited about life, and their eyes finally saw clearly. When she came to pick up her kittens from the shelter, her veterinarian told her, “The kittens are very young, and unfortunately, the infection is quite severe, and their bodies may not be able to handle it.”
But thanks to Toya’s faith and care, the kittens recovered and were fortunate to have a new happy life.
