The woman did not listen to the doctors and kept the pregnancy to give birth

All the doctors that 27-year-old Hannah Morris went to told her the same thing – without an amniotic sac, the baby in the mother’s stomach does not expect anything good, so the pregnancy needs to be terminated. But Hannah did not listen to the doctors and, having gone through difficult trials, she gave birth to 2 twin boys.

The amazing story of Hannah Morris and her twin sons George and Alpha was told by Daily Mirror journalists. Leaving the doctor’s office, a resident of the small town of Washington Hannah Morris could not recover from the grief that had suddenly fallen on her.

After all, only 4 months have passed since that joyful moment when Hannah and her boyfriend Mark King found out that they would have twins. True, a month ago, a woman caught an intestinal infection somewhere and was forced to take antibiotics. But the disease quickly receded, and Hannah felt just fine again. And so, at the 16th week of pregnancy, the woman suddenly lost water from one amniotic bladder, and after only 3 weeks – from the second. Doctors diagnosed – PRPO- one of the most severe complications of pregnancy.

As the doctors explained, the fetal bladder consists of two membranes. The softer internal  is responsible for the formation of amniotic fluid, which nourishes the fetus and protects it from all sorts of injuries. The outer shell is denser and serves as a barrier to the penetration of microbes and bacteria to the child. Therefore, the rupture of the bladder threatens the unborn baby not only with infection with various infections but also with the underdevelopment of vital organs.

That is why all the doctors unanimously persuaded Hannah to terminate the pregnancy and not risk her health. “I asked the doctors if there was even a small chance that my children would survive. But they were 100% sure of their death and insisted that I have an abortion. Then I said that if I was destined to lose children, then let it happen naturally. I won’t help this. And the doctor said: “Well, I know that you will have a miscarriage within two days,” Hanna recalls.

After that, according to the woman, she and Mark were left alone in the ward to wait for a miscarriage. And when nothing happened after 48 hours, the surprised doctor sent the woman for an ultrasound. Fortunately, scans showed that both babies are alive and well. Then, with a shrug, Hannah was sent home.

The most amazing thing is that, knowing about the very difficult condition of the woman, the doctors did not give her any instructions on what to do and how to behave. The only thing they said was to come every week for an ultrasound. Therefore, Hannah was forced to look for information on the Internet herself.

In addition, the mother-to-be contacted Little Heartbeats, which provides care for pregnant women with PROM. On the advice of the Little Heartbeats staff, Hanna began to drink plenty of water  to make up for the loss of amniotic fluid.

And although the ultrasound showed that the children were developing normally, the doctors did not stop scaring Hannah with various horror stories.
Despite the threats of doctors and terrible torment, Hannah managed to hold out the pregnancy to 34 weeks. After examining the woman once again and making sure that the babies are normal, the doctors decided to do a caesarean section.

And finally, two lovely little boys were born – George, weighing 4 pounds and 4 ounces (1.9 kg) and Alf, weighing 4 pounds 1 ounce (1.84 kg). True, one of the babies had problems with cardiac activity, and the second had a weakened immune system, but most importantly, they survived! And survived contrary to all the forecasts of doctors!

The first few days the babies spent in boxes in the intensive care unit. But soon the doctors were convinced that George and Alf were no different from other newborns and they were transferred to a regular ward.
