“We had no idea about the existence of each other when we were pregnant. I gave birth to quadruplets, and just a week later I saw on the local news that a woman from my area also gave birth to quadruplets, ”said Kylie.
Kylie had sons Damon, Gideon and Theo and daughter Emery, while Virginia had daughters Ava, Olivia and Madeleine and son Victor. Both Kylie and Virginia were in the same Facebook group for moms. They wrote off and found out that their matches do not end with quadruplets. It turned out that they both have older daughters who are seven years old.
Both women also struggled with infertility in the past and experienced several miscarriages. At the same time, the difference in the age of the girlfriends is nine years. Virginia resorted to IVF services, while Kylie conceived naturally. The doctor told her that she was the only woman on the entire West Coast of the United States who simultaneously bears four children. As it turned out, he was wrong.
At the time that Virginia and Kylie began to communicate, their youngest children were not yet a month old. Since then, the kids have grown up together, and older daughters River and Zoe have become as close friends as their mothers. Husbands of girlfriends also became friends.
“It’s so nice to know there’s another mom out there who’s going through the same thing as you. We consult with each other, it’s like a partnership. It was wonderful to go all this way with another family,” Virginia shared. Every year, the Shafransky and Johnson families celebrate the holidays together and arrange a traditional Christmas photo shoot for quadruplets. Parents of many children support each other and often arrange meetings so that the children have fun together.
