In all countries of the world they give gifts, marking certain wedding dates, but a puppy, and even every year? Yes, that’s right – despite the controversial reaction of acquaintances, the Romero family is sure that this will be an excellent feature of their life together.
“On the first wedding anniversary, my husband brought the first dog to the house without telling me. He is in the center. On the second we already took Teddy together at the shelter, he is on the left. And this piece of fun fur on my lap is Chewie, he is our gift to each other on the third wedding anniversary.
All her childhood, Neidy wanted a dog, but her mother did not allow her to have an animal. And now, becoming an adult, married woman, she realized her dream. And then again, and again. No, in truth, she didn’t like Chewie at first, but when the girl saw the conditions in which the puppy has to live in a shelter … in general, three dogs in the house are great! And their family tradition is only getting stronger. Sister Nady tweeted about it and the story went viral.
Someone thought it was a great idea and could even become a big new tradition. Others joked in the spirit of “and after 50 years.”.
The other side of the coin is that Nady admits that dogs should be treated as living beings, not gifts. So tradition is tradition, and everything needs to be measured, and after the fifth year, they will pause. They want to establish a family dog shelter, where yearly they can legally add one, which then will find owners.
