Beautiful songs by Toto Cutugno — a part of our vibrant youth. A tremendous loss… Rest in peace… You were the best!

Many of us dream of exciting journeys and visiting interesting places around the planet in our childhood. We choose countries and mentally envision strolling through them. I always dreamed of Italy.
Do you know why? I got infected—not with the flu but with the idea, charisma, and admiration. And all the “blame” goes to this wonderful composition. The guitar, Italy, and Toto Cutugno… Pride, love, passion, and the astonishing, timeless music.

Dream! And the lyrics? The land of spaghetti, women you can’t help falling in love with at first sight, and the seven-string singing guitar… Well, the performance is just breathtaking. I won’t hesitate to use the word charisma again. No one can replicate it.
The inspiration with which Cutugno sings involuntarily evokes respect for the country itself and its inhabitants. It’s simply a hymn to love and loyalty to Italy.
And, honestly, it’s shameful that there isn’t a song about love for our homeland, similar to this enduring masterpiece. But that’s a lyrical digression.

When I hear it, I don’t need a video to imagine the canals of Venice, the Leaning Tower of Pisa, the Colosseum, sculptures, fountains, greenery, and the alluring Adriatic Sea. Beautiful? It’s a fairy tale. Songs not only penetrate the depths of our hearts but also stay in our memories forever. This composition never gets old. I always want to listen to it again and again.
