Elon Musk criticized Jennifer Lopez for not cautioning anyone about Sean “Diddy” Combs after their romantic relationship, particularly now that he has been arrested and charged with sex trafficking, racketeering, and the transportation of individuals for prostitution.
On November 4, Musk appeared on Joe Rogan’s podcast for an election eve conversation. Both men expressed their support for Republican candidate and former President Donald Trump, before turning their discussion to Lopez and her past association with Combs.
Rogan, the UFC commentator, brought up Lopez while talking about the high-profile celebrities who frequented Combs’s notorious parties. Musk then remarked that while Lopez was now openly warning others about Trump,
she had never voiced similar concerns about Combs. He expressed his disbelief over the lack of accountability within the music industry, where many were reportedly aware of Combs’s abusive behavior yet allowed him to continue.
Combs has recently faced multiple lawsuits accusing him of drugging and sexually assaulting two underage men, one of whom was only 10 years old at the time.
In response, Combs’s legal team vehemently denied the accusations, dismissing the lawsuits as publicity stunts designed for media attention. They reaffirmed Combs’s confidence in the judicial system and insisted that he had never trafficked or sexually assaulted anyone.
Lopez has not made any public statements regarding Combs’s arrest, although her representatives have been approached for comment. Lopez and Combs were romantically involved from 1999 to 2001. Recently, Lopez’s first husband, actor Ojani Noa, voiced his criticism of Combs, partially attributing their divorce to him. Noa recalled how Lopez’s work on her album On the 6 with Combs, while he was in Los Angeles, created a rift in their relationship, which he believes played a significant role in their separation.
Lopez also spoke at a Kamala Harris campaign rally on October 31, where she shared her experience as a Latina woman in the U.S. and referred to Trump as “the greatest internal adversary America has ever faced.”
