Ten years ago, shortly after the divorce from her husband, they didn’t even manage to get little mom to the hospital; she died in the ambulance.
The girl was left alone with her father, who, after the birth of his daughter, had not been involved in her upbringing for three years. Realizing that would be a burden for him, he decided to leave his daughter with the parents of his deceased wife. Quite literally, he dropped off at his in-laws’ doorstep. He packed a few bags with Nastya’s belongings and toys, put her in the car, and left – saying nothing. The deceased wife’s parents hadn’t even come out of the house. The man immediately unloaded the bags from the car, slammed the door, and left without saying a word.
The grandmother and grandfather were shocked by the situation. It was challenging for them with the little child, but despite that, they put their hearts into raising Nastya.
also loved them dearly. She was very attached to them. With pleasure, she worked in the garden, learned to cook with her grandmother, and developed a love for rural life. When Nastya went to school and learned to read, her passion for books awakened.
She excelled academically, and teachers suggested that the grandparents help their granddaughter decide on her further education. She entered the university with a gold medal earned in high school, choosing a major in agricultural economics. After completing her studies at the university, she declined the offer to pursue a postgraduate degree. returned to the village to her grandparents, looked around, then applied for a loan to build a farm and a pigsty.
Next, she began vigorous activities to restore the village’s infrastructure. She approached the local employment center to hire workers. In the team was a plasterer who worked exceptionally well. He didn’t even inquire about the salary. Then, he asked to compensate only the minimum amount just for food. When found out about this peculiar worker, she decided to meet and talk to him.
She wanted to understand the reason behind his behavior. The man started crying during the conversation, apologized, and admitted his deep guilt. He referred to her as his daughter and begged her not to dismiss him. In the evening, told her grandparents what had happened during the day. After hearing her story, the grandmother sadly shook her head and told her to forgive that fool.
