The main character of this story is Michel. On several occasions, he had to save lives in the operating room, but once he was faced with the task of saving his own son’s life. A few days ago, a fire started in Michel’s apartment, and he didn’t realize it immediately.
His wife managed to get out into the hallway, but the father was searching for his frightened son, who had decided to hide. The only way to exit the apartment was to jump out the window, and Michel couldn’t hesitate for long. During the fall, he positioned himself in a way that his son would fall on him.
Their lives were saved because there was grass underneath the building. The child suffered a fractured collarbone and multiple bruises, but his life is no longer in danger. However, Michel suffered more severe injuries. He is currently in intensive care, in stable but complicated condition, with a severe pelvic fracture and a torn bladder.
Doctors are fighting for his health, and his colleagues and friends are raising donations for his ongoing treatment. Michel is described as a wonderful person and father, and no one is surprised by his heroism. Everyone is willing to support him until he recovers.
