A 14-year-old boy jumped out of his car onto a busy highway to save the kitten.

Erin Brown was taking her 14-year-old son Gavin to a party with his friends. As they pulled onto the highway, something completely unexpected happened. From the window of a moving car in front of Erin, someone threw a cat just onto a busy road.
The woman immediately applied the brakes and as soon as the car stopped, her son Gavin ran out onto the road and began to stop other cars so that they would not accidentally run into the animal.

The cat was very frightened, he rushed to the side and jumped onto the flyover. The cat climbed to the top of the overpass and Erin was afraid that he would jump down in desperation. Gavin immediately ran up to the cat and took him off the bridge, saving the animal’s life. The woman admits that all the events of that day were a real shock for her. She cannot say what surprised her more: the cruelty of the people who doomed the animal to certain death, or the actions of her son, who took great risks, but still did everything possible to save the cat.

The cat was injured, she tore off her claws on the asphalt and was breathing with difficulty. Gavin held the cat tightly to him, petting and talking to her, trying to calm the animal and show him that he and his mother wanted to help.

Erin and her son immediately drove to the nearest veterinary clinic. On the way, Gavin managed to choose a nickname for the cat, calling him Lucky. The doctors examined the animal and gave him painkillers, all this time Gavin did not leave his new friend for a minute. Now Lucky lives at Erin and Gavin’s house, the boy does not have a soul in his new pet.

Erin says that a special bond has developed between the animal and her son, which is difficult to describe in words. Since childhood, Gavin dreamed of becoming a veterinarian and helping animals, and after this incident, his family is convinced that he will be an excellent doctor for our smaller brothers.
