Nowadays, care and compassion for strangers are quite rare. Modern parents often don’t pay much attention to their children’s upbringing, primarily due to the demands of contemporary life, where work occupies most of our time.
An American schoolboy has set an amazing example of kindness and compassion. This nine-year-old boy has been compassionate not only towards people in need but also towards animals and even plants since his early childhood.
One day, he read that the local homeless shelter needed assistance. When he returned from school, he told his father that he wanted to help the orphanage.
Initially, the parents didn’t pay much attention to the boy’s words. However, the following day when he asked his father to withdraw his money from the account, he realized that his son was serious. The child decided to spend all his savings on food and clothing for those in need, explaining that he could always earn that money back. He has a loving family and parents, whereas the people in shelters have neither family nor homes. He felt it was his duty to help them.
The father was deeply moved by his son’s action. He not only withdrew his son’s savings but also contributed money himself. They contacted the shelter’s administration and learned about the specific needs of the people living there. Then they went shopping and bought everything required. According to the man, he supports his son and his act. He is proud to have raised a worthy person who, in the future, will be a good husband and father.
After all, it’s essential to always remain humane. However, the hero of our story doesn’t think he did anything special; he simply helped people. He has decided to continue sharing and helping those in need.
