Street Photographer Finds People He Photographed 30 Years Ago to Recreate Photos

During the 1970s and 1990s, street photographer Chris Porsch dedicated hours to traversing the streets of Peterborough, England, documenting intriguing individuals.

Four decades later, he resolved to locate the subjects of his photographs to replicate the pictures and ascertain the trajectories of their lives. He triumphed! Consequently, 135 “then and now” photographs were compiled into a picture book titled Reunion, and below are a selection of those images:1. For Chips: 1983 and 2016 Schoolmates Martin Coulson and Andy Rendell often frequented a local business to purchase chips.Ice Cream: 1981 and 2015 Donna Yarnell was five years old, and her brother Steven was three when they were captured in a snapshot with ice cream. Two years later, their family left that residence, making their return for the photograph more noteworthy.Iron Mickey:

1980 and 2016 Steve Osborne had many leg fractures in motorcycle accidents, which were repaired with plates and bolts, resulting him the moniker ‘Iron Mickey’. He now uses a cane for mobility, is married with four children, performs guitar in many bands, and raises funds for a charity supporting handicapped motorcyclists.Train Kiss: 1980 and 2009 Tony Wilmot said farewell to his love Sally, and a year later, they wed. At that moment, the pair was oblivious to being taken, and three decades later, the image was published in the local newspaper, where it was seen by Tony’s father.
The couple remains together and has two children.5. Dog and Tina: 1985 and 2015 Tina Tarr and Dog were punks in their early twenties. In the 1990s, they departed from Peterborough to explore the globe. Shortly thereafter, they had twins; however, they are no longer together and reside in separate places. They both nostalgically recall the moment the first photograph was taken.Pink Mohawk: 1985 and 2016 Punk Badger Fakyu recalls triumphing in a pizza-eating contest in 1985, consuming a 12-inch pizza in around 2 minutes.
He currently has five children and is employed in road paving.Sisters: 1980 and 2013 Shehnaz, her twin sister Ruksana, and their elder sister Itrat often positioned themselves at the window, observing the external events. At that time, the twins were around 7 years old, while the elder sister was 9 years old. The three sisters continue to reside in Peterborough and have now had their own offspring.8. Friends: 1980 and 2015 The four friends remain close and cheerfully posed for a recent photograph, despite the evolution of their haircuts over the years.David Harvey and Tim Goodman:

1980 and 2010 Harvey ascended to the position of Chief Superintendent and is now retired. His son is employed as a police officer in London. Goodman has six offspring and a thriving enterprise.Schoolgirls: 1979 and 2016 Sandra Williams, Carmen Chin, and Maureen Meyers were school pals who subsequently lost contact, particularly due to the school’s closure. However, they reconvened for a photograph.First Employment of Tasbir: 1982 and 2016 Tasbir Singh was employed in a market for four years after his education.
He is now employed in delivery services and has three children and four grandkids.Flautist: 1986 and 2015 For several years, Neil performed on the flute around the streets of Peterborough. At the time of the picture book’s publication, he had not been seen for many months.
