Bear Sonya became an orphan in her childhood and spent all that time in a specialized center for orphaned animals in Otisville, Michigan.
One of the center’s employees, Jonathan, was always with the little bear, caring for her, feeding her, and keeping her entertained. Sonya remembered such kindness and recognized Jonathan several years later.
Even though the man had retired from the orphan center, he couldn’t forget his ward. Therefore, he decided to visit her, but he didn’t expect Sonya to recognize him immediately. During their separation, the bear had significantly grown and become quite large. However, as soon as she heard Jonathan’s voice, she immediately rushed towards him.
The center’s staff recorded the reunion between Jonathan and Sonya. The video clearly shows how happy old friends are to see each other. Sonya literally threw herself into his arms, hugging him with her paws.
Moreover, she allowed herself to be petted and belly-scratched, indicating the animal’s absolute trust in the man.
