Dad Goes Viral After Hosting a ‘Spontaneous’ Funeral for His 3-Year-Old’s Pacifier

Jake and Courtney Bishop, parents from St. Louis, Missouri, saw that their 3-year-old daughter, Hazel, was prepared to relinquish her dummy.
To commemorate this transformation, they opted to have a backyard funeral for the dummy on May 18, the eve of Hazel’s third birthday. Jake officiated the service, presenting a eulogy and imitating pacifier sounds, while the family buried the pacifier in their garden, culminating with a salute and bagpipe music.

The next morning, Hazel found a surprise basket at the burial place, commemorating her birthday with sweets and presents, including a new bicycle.
This unique method garnered extensive acclaim online, amassing over 2 million views and 6,000 comments on TikTok, underscoring the beneficial effects of allowing youngsters to articulate their feelings throughout pivotal milestones.
